Discover the SEAKNOT project

A sister project has been recently launched: SEAKNOT. To a good extent, SEAKNOT will benefit from the major outcomes of MUSA, as a key input to build up a roadmap for severe accident research in the coming years.

SEAKNOT is a 4-year project funded by the EU and coordinated by CIEMAT. The project brings together 17 partners from 10 European countries, and aims to build a roadmap for Severe Accident (SA) research for the next decade to efficiently reduce safety uncertainties based on the identification of safety knowledge gaps, existing capabilities, and upcoming nuclear technology innovation including Small Modular Light Water Reactors (SMLWRs) and near-term Accident Tolerant Fuels (ATFs). This roadmap will also serve to strengthen the background and skills of the workforce who will be responsible for implementing such a research agenda.
